Bar loses license
after drug bust
HUNTINGTON - The Alcohol Beverage Control Administration hassuspended a Huntington bar's liquor license after police foundnearly $30,000 of crack cocaine hidden inside the establishment.
Huntington police responded to a call of shots fired at the 8thAvenue Club Wednesday night. Police said several people who werestanding in front of the bar ran inside when police arrived, sometrying to kick through a fence at the rear of the bar while otherswent back and forth into the bathroom.
No one was arrested, but police later found 93.2 grams ofsuspected crack cocaine in bags stashed throughout the club.
