Two women Sunday were accused of spiriting away more than $1,000 from a mother who was hoping to cure her paralyzed daughter, State Police reported.
Doris Marks, 60, and her daughter, April Marks, 20, both of Apartment 58A, Regency Park Apartments on Knightsbridge Drive, were charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a class E felony, and fortunetelling, a class B misdemeanor, in what troopers believe was a scam advertised over a public access television station.
